Nyan Cat, meow
So, I am officially starting Melissa's Nyan Cat blanket today. In case you aren't familiar with the Nyan, check it out here. Yeah, I don't get it either, but this is what she has requested of me. Gotta keep my woman happy.

An afghan
The best thing about making blankets of any kind - whether crochet, knit, quilting, whatever - is that you get to cover up and stay warm while you work!
Fall and winter is my favorite time to work on beautiful pieces like this.
This summer:
I know it has been a while *coughcough3monthscough* since I posted anything crochet related or otherwise, but trust me, I have not been completely unproductive! Since finishing baby Maier's blanket:
Made more coasters...A LOT more coasters. I mean, I went coaster CRAZY!
Christian and I went to Electric Forest in Rothbury, MI. Day 1:
Classes started back up about 5 weeks ago:
We ran the Warrior Dash in Mt. Morris, MI. I sprained my ankle :(
Christian and I went to Mackinaw City, MI, and visited the UP for my birthday!
I made this afghan. Thanks to ladysprite for the color idea!
And Christian got me the best t-shirt in the world from this (PG13) Epic Meal Time video!

Projects old and new!
Will gang, it's been a month since my last post, and this is what I've been up to:
Finally finished baby Emmet's blanket!
Started working on these little guys for a friend,
Penguin helped.
Made a few summer coasters for myself and Etsy
And discovered my new favorite dessert in the world.
Chocolate Shakeology banana ice cream. (Recipe below)
4 small bananas (sliced and frozen)
about 1/2 cup almond milk
1 scoop/packet chocolate Shakeology
Mix frozen bananas in food processor until finely chopped, then slowly add in milk until creamy. Just the bananas is delicious, but I then added a packet of my chocolate Shakeology, and it turned magical!
